Men in Spex Drummer Spotted at Charity Do
Men in Spex' drummer Martin Gibson was spotted with his wife at a charity event at Culford School yesterday evening in aid of St. Nicholas Hospice. Ironically, guitarist Robin Gordon-Stables was playing a few songs with singer Ashlea at a wedding taking place at the same venue (congratulations to Julia and Paul). Unfortunately there are no paparazzi photos available (too expensive). Asked for comment, Martin said "Hello, what are you doing here?", but this was no surprise as our reporter was Robin having gate crashed the charity do with some other wedding guests (who were soon thrown out)...

Men in Spex Record at Purple Studios
Men in Spex were in Purple Studios, Norwich on 6 and 7 april, recording 7 tracks. Initial response to the results have been positive, although the music press were strangely silent, mainly due to the fact they haven't heard the resulting CD.
Thanks to Jane for letting Ren come out to play, and also to engineer Mark Watson, who suffered in (relative) silence, whilst four grown men generally behaved like children round him.
